HEALTH WALK-A-THON
On May 22, we hosted a health walk-a-thon entitled “More Life with Each Step”. Its purpose was to raise awareness of the important role exercise plays in cardiovascular disease prevention. The event’s route went through Cayey’s main streets, departing from the Town Square and ending at Cayey’s Mennonite Hospital. Music, motorcycle clubs and antique cars accompanied participants, who later had time to visit food stands and a fruit “oasis”. The Police Athletic League was also present at the event.

FIRST SIX SIGMA GROUP GRADUATION
Graduation ceremonies were held on May 24 for the first group of people from our institution to obtain Six Sigma methodology training. Six Sigma is an administration model developed to eliminate operational errors and has been successfully implemented in prestigious manufacturing and service companies throughout the world. The graduating class consisted of 14 members from our corporation who obtained certification in quality assurance under Six Sigma’s “green belt” classification. Congratulations to our coworkers!
