| Purpose
The Aibonito Integral Multidisciplinary Center (CIMA
by its Spanish acronym) provides top-quality mental
health services to residents of Puerto Rico’s
central region.
Aibonito’s Integral Multidisciplinary Center
offers partial daytime hospitalization services where
individual, group, family, marriage, occupational,
recreational, and spiritual therapies are provided
on a strictly confidential basis. Therapies are provided
by a multidisciplinary team featuring psychiatrists,
psychologists, social workers, psychiatric nurses,
occupational therapists, co-therapists, case workers,
and a chaplain.
Children and Teens Program
Focused on the mental health needs of our young population,
we have created a program geared at youths between
the ages of 8 and 17 years of age who are exposed
to alcohol use and abuse, which is a serious problem
afflicting our modern society.
The program is made possible through a federal grant
managed by the local Addiction and Mental Health Services
Administration (ASSMCA by its Spanish acronym). Our
services are provided through competent professionals
with experience in human behavior and physical health.
Our center’s main goal is to eradicate alcohol
use among youngsters under 18 years of age. Our center
offers free services including partial hospitalization
in our own facilities.
The Aibonito Integral Multidisciplinary Center is
presently the only center of its kind within the region
offering services for patients with emotional disorders.
CIMA is located on Road 14, Km. 53.0, corner of Gerardo
Santiago Street (behind the Aibonito Police Station),
on the former Family Health Center facilities. Our
telephone numbers are 787-735-6190 and 787-735-6115.
Our fax number is 787-735-6188.
